Content Creator, Hands-On Labs
Design, build and maintain hands-on cloud labs that learners complete in real AWS, Azure and Kubernetes environments.
About the role
Labs are the heart of CloudLearn. Each one is a guided task in a real cloud environment, with automatic checks that confirm the learner did the work.
You will own the lab catalog: plan new labs, build the environments and checks, write clear step-by-step instructions, and keep existing labs working as the clouds change.
What you will do
- Plan and build new hands-on labs for Azure, AWS, Kubernetes and Docker, from idea to published lab.
- Write lab instructions that are clear, accurate and easy to follow for beginners and experienced engineers.
- Build lab environments with ARM templates, Bicep or Terraform, and write the checks that validate each step.
- Test and fix existing labs when cloud services, SKUs or regions change.
- Map labs to certification exams such as AZ-900, AZ-104 and AZ-305, and to learning paths.
- Help turn labs into short videos, blog posts and social content with the marketing team.
What we are looking for
- 2+ years of hands-on work with Azure or AWS.
- An Azure or AWS certification, such as AZ-104 or AWS Solutions Architect Associate.
- Scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python.
- Experience with infrastructure as code: ARM, Bicep or Terraform.
- Strong written English. You can explain a technical task in plain, short steps.
- Attention to detail. You test your own work until it is right.
- Based in Canada and legally able to work here.
Nice to have
Not required. Apply even if you have none of these.
- Teaching, training, technical writing or content creation experience.
- Kubernetes or Docker experience.
- Comfort recording screen walkthroughs or short videos.
- Experience with Git and pull request workflows.
Your first months
- Week 2: Publish your first lab, with support from the team.
- Month 1: Own a section of the catalog, such as Azure networking or Kubernetes.
- Month 3: Plan and ship a full learning path of labs.
